We need to talk about the fitness industry…
I’ve been a personal trainer for over 25 years, and it has become apparent how obsessed the fitness industry is with quick fixes.
4-week challenges.
6-week transformations.
8-week “melts.”
12-week ‘shreds’ (or worse ‘shredz’😂).
I know because I have ran timeframe based challenges myself in the past.
However, I began to realise that every year, every time , the same cycle of often repeats itself:
People get all excited to begin with, sadly burn out, and often end up right back where they started or worse.
It’s not your fault.
The system is probably flawed.
It gives you too little time, too much pressure, and no long-term support.
Real lasting results don’t happen in 6 weeks.
Real lasting habits don’t form in 12 weeks.
Real lasting confidence isn’t built by deadlines.
This is why everything I do is centred around long-term, sustainable change — not shortcuts.
I’d like to show you how fitness should be approached, why short-term challenges often fail, and how a year-long plan will finally get you where you want to be.
That’s all for today,
Tristan ‘long game’ Buttle.
