Motivation: Are you ‘motivated’?

Motivation: Are you ‘motivated’?

Motivation

Motivation:

This word is thrown around social media, often with very little thought or context.

The actual definition is simple:

‘the reason why somebody does something or behaves in a particulaway’.

However, the fitness industry will often lead you to believe if you lack motivation it’s because ‘you don’t want it enough’. 🤦🏼‍♂️

I believe motivation cannot be force fed. True motivation is often a bi product.

Think about it: If I post a video of me training, telling you to be ‘motivated’, would that work?

If I post the exact same video, without ramming ‘motivation’ down your throat, would you be more ‘motivated’ by my actions, and perhaps feel like you could also take action?

Its a fine line, sometimes the actions of others do nothing but remind you that haven’t done anything!

Comparison will always be the thief of joy, especially on social media..

The truth is, what I or the next person chose to do or show is completely irrelevant to you, your situation, & your goals.

If you chose to find motivation from any of my actions and it helps you to take just one step forward towards your goals (especially when life is being shitty) then I’m happy.

Focus on your journey, stop following anyone who is making you feel bad about yourself and, above all else, keep moving forward.

If you need anything, give me a shout.

Have a good day, have a good workout, have a good week.
