When I first started training as young teenager I used to blindly copy whatever Arnold did!
I used to believe that certain exercises were essential and that I ‘had’ to do whatever the magazines told me to do!
At age 45, I now know that one of the keys to making progress with your training is finding exercises that are a good fit your body.
What’s a good fit for you?
Exercises that fit your individual mechanics.
Exercises that you can progress consistently through time.
Exercises that provide good joint alignment.
Exercises that don’t hurt your joints & you can perform consistently pain free.
Exercises that ideally have a decent resistance profile.
Exercises that you actually enjoy doing!
There is no such thing as a ‘must do exercise’ and no one option is compulsory, you are individual and this should be reflected in your training.
