When it comes to changing your body shape/improving your health, consistency is EVERYTHING.
The absolute best approach you can take is one that is absolutely realistic.
The best plan for YOU is the one YOU can stick to.
Eg- An average of 2/3 gym sessions a week throughout the year will always beat 5 sessions a week for a month.
If you are new to training or just getting back into it after some time off, try not to overcommit, doing so will just set you up for failure.
There are endless ways to organise your workouts, but whatever approach YOU take has to fit around YOUR lifestyle.
You ideally need to train every muscle as frequently as you can, allowing for recovery and progression. For the majority of the general population, a full body or a lower/body split will allow you to achieve this successfully.
If you can’t see yourself sticking with your current plan (training or nutrition) or it has a start & end date, perhaps you need to think more long term?
The goal should be to create habits, routines & rituals rather than just following the latest fad or whatever your friends or colleagues are doing/not doing.
If you are stuck or unsure, give me a shout.
