Why do I love this photo?
This was taken this morning by client of mine, I didn’t know about it until she shared it on her story.
As you can probably tell, the photo isn’t staged, edited or manipulated in anyway.
I was simply doing my job.
Why do I love this photo?
It’s not the coolest or flashiest photo, but I love it because it’s completely unrehearsed and it’s real.
Sadly, this is rarely the case in the world of personal training.
The fitness industry thrives on making you feel like you’re not enough—like you need to be leaner, stronger, or fix your body and it does this so you can be sold stuff you don’t need.
The quick fixes, the ‘magic’ supplements, and the influencer programs promising impossible results in weeks. And when those don’t work? You blame yourself.
I see this a LOT (sadly):
People starving themselves, doing endless hours of cardio, & punishing their bodies instead of nourishing them, because they think that’s the only way to lose weight.
Men & women of all ages, comparing themselves to a photoshopped, enhanced, or unsustainable physique—chasing a standard that isn’t even real.
The truth? Real personal training shouldn’t be about suffering, it should be about:
Building strength—physically AND mentally.
Learning that food isn’t your enemy.
Letting go of the shame and embracing a journey that works for YOU.
I won’t promise you a six-pack in six weeks. But I WILL promise to help you find a way to train, eat, and live that doesn’t leave you burnt out and broken. (We might even have a laugh along the way).
That’s all for today, speak soon.
Tristan ‘business as usual’ Buttle.
